As is true for all my Bailey hats, this wool Homburg also conforms well to medium sizing and it was formed the traditional way. It has a liner and a decorative feather in the hatband. It retains its shape and doesn't have the pliable feel of a newer style packable hat made of Bailey's LiteFelt wool. Definitely distinguishing when sitting straight up on top of the head because tilting it forward will be somewhat uncomfortable. It does have the million dollar look that one would expect from a topper when all dressed up in a suit.Not sure exactly why I ordered this hat. Probably because of its low price for a design that has become a status symbol for successful businessmen the world over. Entirely appropriate when worn together with a heavy topcoat on a cold winter's day in Manhattan or Chicago. But on me it's nothing more than a novelty for wearing to some local get-together. If I were a computer guru I would be justified wearing the red one instead of the black. Possibly a token for some inspiration on becoming successful, but more likely to remain out of place unless I happen to win the lottery. That would be nice.

Needed a good looking hat for my bald head. Don't care for fedoras type hats, so this has a western theme to it which I like.

The burgundy color of this homburg is quietly rich and deep. The fit is solid and the hat is comfortable to wear. Baileys is offering a quality product at a price point that confers genuine value. If you're at all interested in fine hats, Bailey's is an excellent place to consider.
