Dakota Watches Atomic Clip

Product Description (Dakota Watches Atomic Clip)

The Atomic Watch automatically sets itself to radio signals linked to the U.S. Atomic Clock so you'll always know the exact time. Precision time is achieved by the watch's built-in receiver that tunes in daily to the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Atomic Clock in Boulder, Colorado. Accurate to within a ten billionth of a second, the Atomic Clock sends the signal directly to the watch, keeping you on time, every time.

  • A very poor value, poorly made January 13, 2010
    Reviewer: Geoff from Detroit, MI
I bought this because it's one of the only digital watches in a carabiner style which is radio-synchronized with one of the atomic clock transmitters. I found that it is poorly built, with a carabiner that doesn't like to properly align when it closes, and the body is of cheaply molded plastic. The battery ran out after two or three months, and was not a battery I could readily find a replacement for. I would not recommend this watch to anyone.

  • Sled Dog Races April 14, 2009
Reviewer: Mike from Fort Kent, Maine
I purchased 7 of these Dakota watches for a 250 mile sled dog race in Northern Maine. The watches were used at various locations such as start and finish along with 5 check points. I purchased these 7 and they worked so well I ordered 6 more. The only disadvantage is getting the signal and I believe it might be because I must live close to 2000 miles away from Bolder, CO. Out side than that, they held up great in the cold temps.
