It's a great choice when keeping cool and dry is the first priority. It's for any mission and any climate. It also has high density cushioning on foot bottom, custom shrink treated Merino wool, and ribbing above the ankle insures a proper fit. This sock also has a reinforced heel and toe, elastic support around the arch, and ring toe construction for a comfortable invisible seam. With generous sizing the calf stretches 1 inch more than our traditional sock fit, allowing for a wider range of fit.

I have only had these socks for a month now but they are by far and away the best socks I have ever owned. Time will tell if they hold up like the lifetime warranty says they will but I have a feeling they will last for many many years. I have some Thorlos that lasted nearly ten years and these Darn Tough Vermont socks are way better made than them.
