Features a unique non-binding knit construction in top, specifically designed to give extra cross-stretch for maximum comfort. The extra wide, non-restrictive top stretches without binding or slipping down. Soft padded lining in the sole adds extra cushioning comfort. Silver Technology throughout the entire sock inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, yeast, and fungus growth. This in turn reduces sock odors and helps prevent foot infections. I have a really hard time finding socks and these fit we just fine. They fit around my large ankles without leaving any marks. I gave my sister a pair and she ordered them too. She is actually diabetic.

I didn't realize that these socks couldn't be machine washed and dried. I'm not interested in hand washing socks. If I had realized, I wouldn't have purchased them. Since I already had them, I decided to keep them and machine wash and dry them. I don't know if that will shorten their "life". They are comfortable and soft.

I like the higher cut of the sock. I have scar tissue on my ankle and the higher cut protects it. The socks are lightweight and not bulky. They do pill and that is my only complaint. I have been trimming off the fuzz.
