I have a really hard time finding socks and these fit we just fine. They fit around my large ankles without leaving any marks. I gave my sister a pair and she ordered them too. She is actually diabetic.

I didn't realize that these socks couldn't be machine washed and dried. I'm not interested in hand washing socks. If I had realized, I wouldn't have purchased them. Since I already had them, I decided to keep them and machine wash and dry them. I don't know if that will shorten their "life". They are comfortable and soft.

I like the higher cut of the sock. I have scar tissue on my ankle and the higher cut protects it. The socks are lightweight and not bulky. They do pill and that is my only complaint. I have been trimming off the fuzz.
