The hat looks good, seems rugged, fits well and is U.S. made. I don't yet know how it performs in the rain. I returned the first one they sent me because I thought it had a defect. At the right rear of the headband there are notches cut in the top and bottom of it if your head is anything but the smallest size. Evidently these are not a defect but rather a guide for the assemblers to determine where to cut the band for different hat sizes. Never seen it before and think it's ridiculous. I rarely write reviews but wanted to this time not only to save someone else the hassle but also in order to take the opportunity to say that both Shoebuy and even more so Henschel Hats have been superbly willing and able to make it right. They provided me with exceptional customer service and I appreciate it.

I bought this model to replace another much loved model that my kid took to school with her. This model does not live up to the description, it is not conformable to the head as the other was, and is not as sturdy, nor waterproof. It does not measure up to the hype. Very disappointing. I finally traveled 100+ miles to replace my other hat. Some things I guess you just can't do by mail.

I have a hard time finding a hat that will fit. This hat is just the right size. I have returned hats that I did not like with no problems. Shoe Buy pays the return shipping cost. I would reccomend Shoe Buy to anyone.
