Living in Florida, sun protection is a must. Even though this hat does not do anything for UV, it works great and is quite cool in this heat. Bottom line: I love it!! I wear it fishing, playing golf, and almost everywhere else. If you need sun protection for your face and ears, this hat does it great. I bought it for the wide brim and the color...and I look really good in it!!
