An iconic Kangol classic, with the Ventair pattern around the outer edge, the 504 Ventair Cap has remained fresh since it was introduced in the early '80's. The 504 cap gets its name from the number assigned to the original block shape on which it was made. Tropic yarn is Kangol's traditional polyester blend, and is a warm weather yarn that has been a staple in the collection since the 1970's.

An actual breathing hat November 06, 2012

Thank you! This hat actually "breathes" and keeps me from getting sweat head. It has small enough holes to keep the sun off my head, while allowing my head to stay dry. It has held it's shape remarkably and is quite comfortable. The placement of the bulk of the ventilation is around the circumference of the hat, so I don't need to worry about sun exposure, which is important to me due to scalp melanoma requiring me to keep sun off my head, and my personal need to have some air circulation to avoid a sweat covered head.
