I got this hat for my husband as a replacement for one he'd had previously. It's a very handsome and well-made hat, that provides excellent sun protection. He wears it all the time and always gets compliments on it.

I bought the pantropic classic fedora for my 82-year-old father who has or could buy anything he wants. He saw my husband's pantropic fedora (bought after radiation therapy to shade his skin from the sun) and loved it. He picked it up and tried it on and wouldn't let it go, even though it was too big and fell over his eyes. I knew I had found the perfect Father's Day gift. The hat itself is very well-made and is beautifully woven, yet light and cool. My dad is still a commercial fisherman at 82 and comes home on the weekends to go dancing to cajun music. All he could talk about was wearing his hat to go dancing. He even threatened to wear it on his fishing job where he gets stinky and dirty. I know this hat could take the heavy duty use, and with the horrid temps and Louisiana humidity, it would still be a cool hat to wear. Both guys praised this hat a lot, and my husband has gotten compliments often. The only negative seemed to be that the medium size I bought for my hubby was not as tightly woven as the small size bought for my dad, and my husband thinks the other will last longer.
