These pants wear like iron but are getting softer and more comfortable by the wearing. They have collected a little foam insulation and glue but aside from the outward appearance they are good as new. I don't use the hammer loop but the thigh pocket is where my cell phone lives and has never fallen out or taken unnecessary damage.

I picked up these pants prior to traveling and was really glad I did. The added pockets and relaxed fit allowed me to remain comfortable and keep all of my documents/valuables at the same time. Add the fact that they are made from organic cotton and I would definitely recommend these pants to others. One caveat is that they fit about a half size too large.
