A wise and functional revision to an old staple of the Patagonia line. Patagonia always did their homework. Everything they ever made (at least what I had) was done with great thought, precision,and of the highest quality. These shorts are no different. A pleasure to wear in the heat of the summer (nothing like the originals)and dry in a flash should you get them wet while washing your car or crossing a stream. They are well made of tough, quality nylon, fit real well and expect them to be around for years to come. A no brainer to pick these over the canvas originals.

These are great shorts. I've had multiple pairs of stand up shorts, but these are the first nylon ones that I've bought. They're better than the cotton ones because they dry faster and they don't get as wrinkled, and yet they're just as supple and soft as the cotton ones. One caveat: whether it was a mislabeled pair that I got or the cut of the shorts I don't know, but they're significantly tighter than other patagonia shorts I own. Every pair of size 34 I have from patagonia is just a bit loose on me. This 34 is just a bit tight. I ordered up a size for proper fit.
