Pedors famous multi layer inserts consisting of a top layer of Pedzote, a fine celled EVA product designed to "mold" or take a compression set, the cells will actually collapse slightly under weight and in the case of an insole, will take a footprint.
The middle layer is a Poron, a urethane foam that will not collapse. It has a compression set value of only a few percentage, so it always returns to its original thickness, yet offers excellent cushioning.
The bottom yellow layer Procell Plus is "planar" and naturally remains flat. We use this firmer EVA to hold the contour shape of the insole.

Really the best product to add the needed cushion for the pain in my feet. I use them over my inserts along with a U-shaped pad and my heel pain all but vanished after a very pain filled year.
