I own three of these skirts. They are super comfortable, packable and look great. They hide a multitude of sins and are incredibly flattering. I am not really a skirt person but I find this skirt is my go to skirt all summer. Buy it. You will not be sorry. It runs true to size.

Really liked this skirt, though I exchanged it for a more basic color. We travel a lot, this skirt will go with me everytime. Light, comfortable and easy to dress up or down with just a change with shoes and a top.

This skirt is the perfect mix of sporty and dressy - very versatile for traveling. The material is great and holds it shape, the length is just above the knee and the style fits a sporty look.

This skirt is absolutely amazing! First of all, comfort is first in my books and this skirt has it all - a light, cool yet thick quality material, zipper pocket on the right, cargo pocket a little bit lower on the left, each deep enough to fit plenty, i love it! Zipper in the back is very quality, inner band around the waist is so comfortable. This is a premium piece of clothing to wear on a very hot day. The flair on the bottom makes it cute, but at the same time its made for practical use and hiking/outdoor activities. Great to keep things in pockets cause it will stay safe with proper zipper and button. Also, long enough to be active in - I enjoy doing yard work, etc in this, keeps me cool. Literally and figuratively!Highly recommend this one - love the sandstone, just ordered the everglade! Enjoy!

I love this skirt! It is very comfortable and versatile. I wear it with a nice shirt for teaching school or with a t-shirt for watching my daughter's soccer game. Frankly, it's more comfortable than wearing shorts, and the zippered pockets are perfect for carrying my keys and cell phone. I sometimes tuck my reading glasses in the lower pocket. The soapstone color looks fabulous. I'm not sure if I like the sassafras color. It is noticeably darker than the one in the picture.

This skirt is flattering - I like that it sits lower, the zipper in back is unobtrusive, the fit is streamlined (no funky bulges), and the flounce on the bottom is just cute! The pockets are very handy, and the material is travel worthy (doesn't wrinkle thus far, but I haven't yet tried washing it in the sink and letting it dry overnight). I'm packing the skirt now for a trip to the northwestern USA, and this will be my church skirt (I'll dress it up with a fancier top), and my shorts substitute (should I be so lucky as to get some hot weather!). I'm very happy with this purchase!

EXCELLENT Travel Skirt! November 10, 2010

I bought this skirt for a trip to Cocoa Beach (traveling by plane) - it was an excellent choice. The skirt looks great even after being crumpled up in a suitcase or sat on for hours at a time on a plane. I ordered the army greenish color and it's subtle enough that it matches almost everything. It's a modest length (just below the knee and I am 5'9"). It has several pockets that can hold small or flat things (I kept a chapstick and car rental key in the bottom pocket where the "ruffle" is and you couldn't see it at all. (I thought the ruffle might look kinda dumb, but it's subtle and just gives the skirt a feminine flair.) I kept a room key-card and money/ID in the side zip pocket and that was practically invisible as well. It's a super flattering skirt, can be dressed up or down, is really comfortable, etc. Pretty much the same thing all the other rave reviews have to say. :) I also agree with the other reviewers about the sizing. I wear a size 12 for pretty much everything (I have one pair of jeans that are size 10) but I went with the suggestions and ordered a 10 in this skirt. Even with a 10 I still have a bit of breathing (or eating!) room. So not only is it a perfect skirt, it makes you feel skinny too. :) RECOMMENDED. Also, shoebuy.com's service / shipping was great - I received it just 2-3 days after ordering (I selected standard shipping)! One note - this probably isn't a good skirt for cooler weather, it's lightweight material.

Bought this skirt for traveling. Haven't used it yet, but it fits very well. Runs large. I usually wear a 4 but had to have a 2. Works well for "straight" figures.

My daughter recommended this skirt to me as being comfortable and easy to wear. I am so glad I listened to her advice. Just got back from Italy and Spain where I wore it the majority of the time. The skirt is easy care and very stain resistant. The pockets are great for both security and convenience reasons. Following the recommendations, I ordered a size smaller than I usually wear, but that is even generous. I am considering ordering a another skirt in a different color, but 2 sizes smaller. The skirt is a good value for the money.

I was encouraged to look at this skirt by a store clerk and it turned out to be a favorite purchase! I liked it so much that I bought a second one in another color. It's a great alternative to nice shorts and the black one can be dressed up. It'll be perfect for travel! Buy it a size smaller.

I LOVE this skirt. I had to order a size smaller then usual but I can barely take it off now that I have this. It is very flattering and I love all the pockets. I am a busy mom of three girls (15,3&2) and like to wear skirts as long as I feel they are functional too. I want this in every color. My husband would give it 5-stars too because he always loves this skirt. The quality of the material and construction make it worth the price too! It goes well with just a fitted, printed t-shirt or a camp shirt to make it feel a bit more dressy. Like I said, I cannot say enough good things about this skirt.

I first found this skirt in San Diego at the REI store. I had to buy a size 4, when I normally wear an 8, maybe because my hips are not so wide, and when I put things in the pockets (which is the best thing about this skirt), it falls off. But I no longer buy things, especially bottoms, without pockets, and most of the easy-care items are very Safari/rock-climbing/butch looking. Not this skirt. The ruffle at the bottom makes it look like a real girly piece, and it can go sporty or even a little dressy. The Royal Robbins quality assures good washability. The stretch is great too, when you are bending down and taking long strides. I was thrilled to find this site with so many colors. If you like pockets, good fit, durability, and style then buy this.

The fabric is very forgiving and makes the skirt quite flattering and comfortable. I like the wide waistband, but the cut was a bit roomy in the waist while accommodating my hips. The three secure pockets are very handy. I wish this skirt were available in black.
