The black leather cover is slightly padded and uses premuim soft grade material. Brass corners on front corners protect against damage when opening/closing the holder. Plastic card pages easily hold all standard cards - even slightly larger ones. I'm able to put more than one card in each slot. Mine is completely full - yet the cover closes flat and looks professional/great. A piece proud to leave out in an executive, high-end office.
