Sent these to my son who is a big fan of Smartwool socks. He reported back that they were quite uncomfortable, in fact unwearable, since the stitching along the toe is not smooth and cuts into his feet.If I could return them, I would, but I told him to wash them and they would probably soften up ( they didn't!) so can't return them now.

I use to get the SmartWool Cozy. It was a wonderful, tightly-woven casual sock and I loved them. Unfortunately, it is no longer available and this was my second try for another SmartWool style that is comparable.While I still love the springiness of a wool sock, the Adventurer does not compare in quality to earlier styles.

These SmartWool socks keep feet warm. I bought them at Christmas time for my step-father who has diabetes and can't keep his feet warm enough. These socks are wonderful! They keep his feet warm, they are comfortable, and not as bulky as some of the other styles of SmartWool socks. My husband was jealous, so I had to get him some too, and he loves them also. They are wonderful socks.

I bought these socks for my husband, who likes wearing them around the house during the winter months. He says they are warm and soft. I bought him the XL size because he usually wears size 13 shoes and they fit him well.
