I am sending the chestnut colored back. These were designed for women and the quality isn't up to my standards with the weave in the sock. Plus the elastic didn't hold at the top.The Black ones are all the smartwool fabric with no design to thwem. They are are wonderful. Wicks the moisture and keeps legs and feet toasty.

Wanted warm knee high socks, not too thick and not too thin, to wear on cold days with boots. These are perfect. Wash in cool water in washing machine and hang up to dry. Socks stay up all day. If you want warm socks, wool is best compared to all other fabrics. Great quality socks that will last.

These socks are the best! Warm, comfortable, fit well, durable,and reasonably-priced. The wool is substantial (so the socks don't slide down) without looking bulky. Before owning these, I thought they were too expensive but after shopping around and finally selecting them, and after washing-and-wearing them for a couple of weeks,I'm convinced they are the best-value knee socks. I will be ordering more of them.
