smart & classic November 27, 2012

This is a classic cable made better by wool. No more sweaty feet, even in shoes that don't breathe quite as well. I've had a pair of these in dark brown since last winter; they've worn and laundered perfectly. I'm gradually acquiring an entire sock drawer full of SmartWool, never going back to cotton.

Pleased! A very nice surprise... November 09, 2010

These socks, though very thin fabric, are amazingly warm without weight. I'm pleased with the product, as the socks fit nicely and are comfortable. I'd prefer, however, that they come up a little higher on the leg....mid-calf, perhaps? They'd then be ideal (and well worth the high price)!

OK but too big for me. April 30, 2009

I wanted to try these socks, since I love Smartwool crew socks. However, they don't come in small, so I ordered Medium. They are too big! They are nice, thinner than the crew socks. I haven't worn them yet. I washed one pair hoping they would shrink, but they did not.

These socks are comfortable, and they feel lightweight but keep my (usually cold) feet a little warmer than most socks. However, after a few weeks, they are already starting to pill on the bottoms, and I almost always wear slippers over them around the house.
