This award winner is SmartWool's best all-round hiking and outdoor sock. A good all-purpose three-season outdoor sock, designed for rugged day hikes or lightweight backpacking. Medium weight cushioning throughout the sock provides protection against blisters on the foot and lace pressure on the instep.
Elasticized arch brace helps keep the sock in place and adds arch support. High Density Footbed (HDF) for improved performance, comfort and durability. Crew height.
Content: 70% SmartWool, 29% nylon, 1% elastic. Machine wash warm. Tumble dry. Do not bleach.

These socks just seem to be a nice, well made all around hiking sock. They fit well in a snug fitting boot, and work very well in my insulated Winter sports boots. They are comfortable and wearable with or without liners. I really can't complain about anything these socks do, and that in itself is high praise.

This is a great sock, but then again anything made by smartwool is going to be great! I will be using these on a trip in a few days and I already know that my feet as well as the rest of me is going to be very happy!

I have a real problem with foot perspiration, especially in leather-lined shoes. These socks manage to wick the moisture away from my feet, as well as keep them comfortable and cushioned all day long. Glad I bought them!
