Erica Chan Coffman and Tamar Wider met in 2005 while both working in the jewelry industry in New York City. Natives of California and Texas respectively, their mutual experiences in the jewelry industry led the entrepreneurial pair to New York City, a fitting backdrop for their fortuitous meeting and subsequent friendship. Drawing inspiration from each others' personal style and an addiction to boots, they initially set about designing accessories to compliment their own wardrobes in their free time. The innovative idea behind The 2 Bandits was spawned in 2007, during an effort to add life and versatility to any wardrobe, by dressing up your favorite pair of boots. Their love of music and all things vintage is expressed through the names of the Bandits, each designed and handmade with the finest details. In 2009, The 2 Bandits released Riders: harnesses made of soft and fine oiled cowhide leather and heavy duty stainless steel or brass chain. Bandits and Riders are meant to give your old, new and favorite boots life and color-have fun with them!
