I bought these socks for my husband because his black socks always seem to get lost. I was looking for dress socks, but couldn't find any. I decided to try these. He didn't even open the package for weeks because they were crew and not dress, but when it started getting colder, he gave them a try. He absolutely loves them! Seriously, he wears them every day and had me get another pack of white socks for summer hiking trips. He says they are warm, soft, and thick which provides cushion since he is on his feet all day. He's been wearing them now for over 2 months and still talks about how comfortable and warm they are.

They're soft and cozy, perfect for keeping feet comfy when my husband has to stand most of the day...and he often has to work 10-12 hours a day. He says the socks are excellent, and this is the second 6-pack I've ordered of these socks. It appears they wear well, but I'll be back for more.

Unlike most crew socks that strangle the upper calf leaving marks by the end of the day, Timberland socks have a relaxed feel yet stay put all day. Reinforced toe and heel add to the longevity of this product.

I've had a hard time finding light grey socks, and here they are. They're very comfortable unlike those awful, thin dress socks but the leg part is a bit tight, almost like a compression sock. And I have very thin legs, too.If you are 12 1/2 and have a wide foot, this is going to be a very tight fit for you. (I'm 12 1/2 with a narrow foot.) Hard to imagine they still work for someone at the other end of the spectrum: ?8 1/2 ? but I haven't been 8 1/2 for decades, so I can't say.I wish these socks had more cotton and less polyester (and less spandex). Synthetic material isn't so great for the skin. Somehow I thought, when I read the product description, that there was much more cotton than any other material. Guess I wasn't a careful reader.All in all, I'm happy with these.

Only had the socks for about a month but they seem durable and they wash well. Not super soft but they do the job when you don't want a thin dress type sock.
